Plot Summary:China in the 1920's. After her father's death, nineteen year old Songlian is forced to marry Chen Zuoqian, the lord of a powerful family. Fifty year old Chen has already three wives, each of them living in separate houses within the great castle. The competition between the wives is tough, as their master's attention carries power, status and privilege. 哎。
四星半，做作的有点做作
透过大红灯笼血一样的颜色，男权封建社会下的礼教、秩序、仁义、道德，诡异压抑的变态寒意扑面而来。“夏、秋、冬、夏”，悲剧的轮回循环往复，春天永远不会到来。
那种绝望。真的演的精彩，说明啥，读书就有好下场吗？戏子有好下场吗？谁才是好下场的那个人呢？妄想做太太的丫头有好下场？自己的爸爸把亲生妈妈整死的那个男童有好下场吗？呵呵
中式恐怖是什么？鬼是什么？ 人跟鬼就差一口气，一个个鬼身上都是一桩桩悲剧。可叹可悲，在这深宅大院里，女人的世界就只在方寸之间，女人世界里只有男人家庭，能不疯吗？能不有鬼吗？ 每个村里都有几个疯女人，上吊的女人，小时候只觉得可怕，现在只觉得可悲。
还是时代决定了那时候的悲哀，嫁给有钱人当小老婆，你给她一台电脑 不愁吃不愁喝的你看她想不想看见老爷！
看了只觉得好痛苦，好像现在也没什么区别
