Plot Summary:Deep into a solo voyage in the Indian Ocean, an unnamed man (Redford) wakes to find his 39-foot yacht taking on water after a collision with a shipping container left floating on the high seas. With his navigation equipment and radio disabled, the man sails unknowingly into the path of a violent storm. Despite his success in patching the breached hull, his mariner's intuition and a strength that belies his age, the man barely survives the tempest. Using only a sextant and nautical maps to chart his progress, he is forced to rely on ocean currents to carry him into a shipping lane in hopes of hailing a passing vessel. But with the sun unrelenting, sharks circling and his meager supplies dwindling, the ever-resourceful sailor soon finds himself staring his mortality in the face.

随便点进去的一部电影，全片基本没有台词，只有一个老人和大海，空镜很美，尤其是从海底拍救生艇被鱼群围绕的画面，太绝望了，慢慢的一切尽失，但他没有放弃，结尾以为沉入海底了，结果被救了呜呜呜太好了🥹
一个人，一句台词，和大海。完全可以力挑《少年派》和《地心引力》。问世间还有谁能像Robert Redford这样，77岁了拿完奥斯卡终身成就奖还演海难独角戏？这才是真正的用生命在演出，热泪盈眶，永远的Sundance Kid。
老头厉害。孤独的汪洋上与恐惧、巨浪、烈日、饥渴搏斗，有一种海明威式的悲剧性，所以结尾一幕我认为是明亮且值得鼓励的，也是给观众漫长折磨后的一个交代。
